Founded in the early 1970s by the late Surinder Kharbanda and his son late Naveen Kharbanda, Lyallpur Snack Foods originally operated under the title Lyallpur Walian Di Hatti, a humble sweets venture based in Lyallpur, now Faisalabad, Pakistan. Overcoming the hardships of Partition, the Kharbanda family brought not only their memories but also a deep-rooted connection to their homeland. Upon settling in Ludhiana, they re-established their business under the same name Lyallpur Walian Di Hatti, on Gokul Road near Kesar Ganj, Ludhiana as a tribute to their love for Lyallpur.
Under their leadership Surinder Kharbanda and Naveen Kharbanda, the shop flourished, becoming an iconic name in Ludhiana, known for its authentic Indian sweets, savory snacks, and desi ghee-based delicacies. Today, Rohit Kharbanda, son of Naveen Kharbanda leads Lyallpur Snack Foods by honouring its rich heritage while embracing the evolving tastes of modern consumers. He blends traditional flavours with a focus on health conscious products, ensuring the same high quality that has been their hallmark. The venture has now grown into an international brand to countries like the USA, UK, Europe, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and beyond.
